Trek Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Jagdalpur The trek will begin with your arrival in Jagdalpur, the headquarters of the Bastar district. You can reach Jagdalpur by road or by train. After reaching Jagdalpur, you will check into a hotel and rest for the day.

Day 2: Jagdalpur to Chitrakote Waterfalls (40 km) On day two, you will start early in the morning and travel to the Chitrakote Waterfalls by car. You will reach the waterfall in about an hour, and then trek for about 2 km to reach the base of the waterfall. You can spend the day exploring the waterfall and the surrounding areas. In the evening, you will camp near the waterfall.

Day 3: Chitrakote Waterfalls to Dalpat Sagar Lake (15 km) After breakfast, you will start trekking towards Dalpat Sagar Lake. The trek passes through dense forests and rocky terrain, and you will be able to enjoy the scenic beauty of the region. You will reach the lake in the evening and camp near the lake.

Day 4: Dalpat Sagar Lake to Jagdalpur (20 km) On the final day of the trek, you will start trekking back to Jagdalpur. The trek passes through scenic landscapes and you will reach Jagdalpur by late afternoon. You can then depart for your onward journey.

Trekking Level:

The Chitrakote Waterfalls Trek is a moderate level trek and is suitable for beginners as well as experienced trekkers. The trek involves walking for 4-5 hours a day, passing through rocky terrains and dense forests.
