Sri Kukkuteswara Swamy Temple is a Hindu temple located in the town of Pithapuram, in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, who is worshipped here in the form of Kukkuteswara Swamy.

According to legend, the temple was built by the sage Parashurama, who was an avatar of Lord Vishnu. It is said that Parashurama performed a penance here and installed the lingam (aniconic representation of Lord Shiva) as a symbol of his devotion. The temple was later expanded and renovated by the Kakatiya and Eastern Chalukya dynasties.

The temple has a unique architecture, with two gopurams (tower-like structures) at the entrance and a mandapam (open hall) in the center. The main sanctum houses the lingam, which is believed to have been installed by Parashurama himself. The temple also has shrines dedicated to other deities, including Lord Vishnu, Lord Ganesha, and Goddess Parvati.
