Arrive at Kota Kinabalu International Airport in the centre of Malaysian Borneo where we'll meet you to drive a short journey to our cool Eco Lodge. Relax upon arrival before the evenings welcome dinner and drinks with your group. We'll take a walk along the waterfront and soak up the bustling & unique atmosphere in this exciting city.

Today is all about culture and history as we visit Mari Mari Cultural Village. The village aims to share the knowledge and tradition of 5 different main ethnic tribes that make up Sabah, Borneo. We'll immerse ourselves in the daily life of the locals & listen to the stories of the Bobohizan - the High Priestesses of a tribe. This evening we'll relax and take in the stunning sunset which has often been voted number one in the world!

This morning we’ll set off to Sepilok, Sandakan. Enjoy the scenic views & small villages on our drive before arriving at our resort, with a beautiful pool to cool off in.
After freshening up, we will head to the Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre where approximately 80 orangutans are living free in the reserve. Keep your eyes peeled as there are also around 25 babies living in the nurseries at the centre too! We will also check out the Bornean Sun Bear Centre, next door to the orangutans, which is home to the world's smallest bears. The purpose of the centre is to provide care, rehabilitation and release of orphaned and captive sun bears.

After breakfast, we head off to explore the Gomantong Caves, before arriving at the Kinabatangan River. We’ll check into our Adventure Lodge and get ready to spend the evening on a river safari. Get your cameras ready for the array of wildlife & birdlife that we’ll be accompanied with. From pygmy elephants and orangutans to crocodiles and probosci's monkeys. If you are a fan of wildlife, this will be your heaven!
This evening we'll settle into our lodges which overlook the beautiful mountains to get ready for tomorrow's activities.

Wake up to the calls of gibbons as we embark on a morning river safari in search of waking wildlife and birds. After we’ll check out and head to Kundasang to visit the War Memorial & Gardens. One of the first memorials to commemorate the brave Australian and British Prisoners of War who died during the infamous Sandakan-Ranau Death March.
This evening we’ll soak up a truly local way of life; sampling local rice wine & eating the delicious local food.

Today we have an early start to get ready for a super active day! We'll start by exploring Mount Kinabalu’s treetops which invites you to witness the impressive hundred million-year-old rainforest. Afterwards, we'll head to the highest waterfall in Sabah, the Langanan Waterfall. Standing 100m high, prepare for a challenge on this 3.5km trek. We'll reward ourselves later this afternoon relaxing in the hot springs before a chilled evening with the group.

After a jam-packed week of activities, we spend today exploring our surroundings at our own leisure. Check out the local markets, treat yourself to a massage and take in the beautiful surroundings that we are in.

It’s time to get tropical! This morning we’ll head over to Gaya Island, a divers paradise, where we will be for the next 3 days. Here you will complete your Open Water PADI course, or if you are already qualified you can choose to complete the PADI Advanced Diver or any PADI speciality course within the same time frame.
