Day 1: Arrival in Leh

Day 2: Leh to Shingra Koma (3,300m)

  • Drive from Leh to Shingra Koma, which is the starting point of the trek.
  • The drive takes approximately 5-6 hours and offers stunning views of the Zanskar River.
  • Camp overnight in Shingra Koma.

Day 3: Shingra Koma to Tibb Cave (3,800m)

  • Start trekking from Shingra Koma and trek to Tibb Cave.
  • The trek is approximately 5-6 hours long and involves walking on the frozen Zanskar River.
  • Carry enough water and snacks, and wear warm clothes.
  • Camp overnight in Tibb Cave.

Day 4: Tibb Cave to Naerak Camp (4,400m)

  • Trek from Tibb Cave to Naerak Camp, which is the highest point of the trek.
  • The trek is approximately 6-7 hours long and involves walking on the frozen river and passing through narrow gorges.
  • The altitude gain is significant, so take enough rest and stay hydrated.
  • Camp overnight in Naerak Camp.

Day 5: Naerak Camp to Tibb Cave (3,800m)

  • Trek back from Naerak Camp to Tibb Cave.
  • The trek is approximately 6-7 hours long and involves walking on the frozen river and passing through narrow gorges.
  • Camp overnight in Tibb Cave.

Day 6: Tibb Cave to Shingra Koma (3,300m) and Drive to Leh

  • Trek back from Tibb Cave to Shingra Koma.
  • The trek is approximately 4-5 hours long and involves walking on the frozen river.
  • Drive back to Leh and spend the night in a hotel.
