We meet between 12 and 15 o'clock at the marina in Warnemünde and check aboard. We then go grocery shopping together to stock up on food for the week: sometimes we want to cook by ourselves, but sometimes we want to be spoiled in the local restaurants! In the evening we will have a first dinner, get to know each other and plan the route together.
After a first introduction, it's finally time to cast off! On the first stretch north, we can directly help to sail energetically. Today we are going to Møn, the island which is called the pearl of the Danish South Sea too. Already impressed by the charming coast between Germany and Denmark, we are overwhelmed by the light and the atmosphere when we enter the Danish harbor! We end the first day of sailing together very relaxed with our favorite drinks.
Today we continue to Vordingorg with the typical perfect wind conditions for the Baltic Sea. We enjoy these great sailing weather circumstances, feel the wind in our hair and the sun in our faces. After arriving in the northern harbor of the small town, we are impressed by the medieval castle ruins which we visit before having dinner in a hyggeligen (danish for a very cozy restaurant).
After a delicious breakfast, we will sail a few nautical miles to Femø. This idyllic island, with its old thatched houses, the hilly and green landscape and the pure white beaches, simply radiates a tranquility that invites you to relax! After a long bath and then a delicious home-cooked meal, we look into the twinkling starry sky and tell the most beautiful stories!
Further around "Lolland" we go to a special attraction, the Nakskov Fjord. With most beautiful weather we sail into the fjord and admire the small islands with the summer houses, like from storybooks, until we arrive in Nakskov. Moored in the harbor we use the time before sunset and borrow bicycles so we can explore the beautiful surroundings.
Today we return to German waters, but this one is not inferior to the Danish one! We sail up to Heiligenhafen and moor in the 5-star marina, which is one of the most modern in the area! Luckily, we still have a little time left and can have a look around the lively town! Not only does it offer great shopping opportunities, but also one nice restaurant after another where we can end the evening!
Today is our last day of sailing! After taking the yacht around Fehmarn, we head back to Warnemünde, our port of departure. On the last stretch we all show once again what we have learned in the last days. Arrived in Warnemünde we pack up most of our things before we have to leave the yacht in the morning. But before that we have a very cozy dinner and reminisce until we say "goodbye, but not forever" tomorrow!
