After check in our guide will pick you up at your hotel and then walk to the harbor. Sooner the boat will take you to the fish market to watch wetland birds. On the way you will see fishermen with Tankwa (a vessel boat that made out of Cyprus papyrus plant). Later heading to Mehal (central) Zeghe. Mehal Zeghe is the place where the boat will drop you off and start your trekking up to the hill in the peninsula). You will visit St. Giorgis and Betre Mariam monasteries. Waking walk (1-1:30hrs) from Mehal Zeghe Giorgis to the hill called Ararat through evergreen forest and coffee plantation. While you walk through this route you will have a chance to watch yellow fronted parrots, butterflies, monkeys, various forest birds and indigenous trees.

Ararate hill will be your finial destination and after you reached the hilltop trek downwards to Ura Kindane Mihiret monastery. Along the way you will have lunch under coffee and other trees. Later on you will walk down to the harbor and take (test) coffee Arebica, the famous coffee on earth. Coming back from Zeghe continue to the outlet of the Blue Nile River and enjoy hippos. After breakfast drive to southern Bahir Dar to Blue Nile falls. Along the way enjoy the countryside people of Amhara, one of the biggest nations in Ethiopia. Once you reached culture and tourism office in Tisisat village you will drop off for a few minutes and after entry fee and local guide organize drive around 5 minutes. Walk up and down to the Blue Nile falls. Later walk and cross the Nile River by boat and catch your car back to Bahir Dar.

After lunch you will see Grace Center. Grace is one of the famous foundations in Bahir Dar. It helps women and families. They have daycare so that impoverished mothers can work and not have to abandon their children (orphan prevention). They work to keep families together by searching for and assisting single parents while encouraging them to become self-sufficient. And they also have children’s home foster homes for children who are not able to be reunified with birth family. For these children they work to have them adopted locally by Ethiopians and also help children growing up in prison. Drive to the spectacular view of Semien Mountains from Gondar via Debark, where the park headquarters are located, to the Simien. Here you will Waite a while to organize all necessary trekking logistics and ahead to the place where you spent overnight. Gafat industrial village was the cannon factory (foundry) of Emperor Tewodros II in 1850. Gafat is said to be the first industrial village in the land of Africa. It is the place where the light of industrial civilization was ‘thrown the beam of light’. Additionally, the site is among the three most important places (Qwara and Maqdela) in the life of Emperor Tewodros II. It has three important sites. These are the cannon foundry, the home enclosure of Artists, and the house of horses. The first served as the plant site in which the metals and other minerals were melted to prepare the cannon, the second was the house of the Artists who were involved in the work of the cannon’s manufacture and their families, and the third, used as the house of the horses which served the transporting of minerals. if you have enough time continues to Guna Mountain (4,400masl).
