Itinerary

See southern Italy highlights on your first day minitour from Rome. Departure by coach heading south crossing the regions of Lazio and Campania. The first stop is Naples, one of the most enchanting cities in the

Mediterranean famous worldwide for its rich history, art, culture and gastronomy, where you will take a short

panoramic tour to discover its beauty from the comfort of your coach climbing up the Vomero hill. The town

overlooks the bay of Naples which extends from the Sorrento peninsula to volcanic area of Phlegrean fields,

and the skyline is dominated by the majestic and still active volcano Vesuvius, offering an impressive sight

perfect to take stunning pictures. Descending towards the port of Mergellina, you will leave the city and travel south towards Mount Vesuvius and, once you reachthe town of Pompeii, you will have lunch with the real

Neapolitan pizza! After lunch, you will enter into one of the most important archaeological sites in the world:

a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the ruins of Pompeii, with Skip the Line entrance and a guided tour.

Through the remains and ruins of this ancient city you will learn how the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD

destroyed the city, killing its inhabitants and burying it under tons of ash. The site was lost for about 1,500

years until its initial rediscovery and the objects beneath the city have been well-preserved for centuries. So youcan walk along the ancient streets for a glimpse intothe lives of the Romans, discovering ancient houses,

bakeries and shops and imagine the everyday life in the Roman times. Leaving Pompeii, you will drive along theSorrentine Coast, arriving in Sorrento for dinner (dress code: jacket for men) and overnight in hotel.

Spend a leisurely day exploring Sorrento, the jewel of the Sorrentine peninsula that is famous for the cultivation of oranges, lemon, and olive trees. Or you may want to hit the waters for a day excursion to the nearby

island of Capri (not included). Return to your hotel in Sorrento for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast in your hotel, at 11:00 am transfer to Amalfi. Check-in to your new hotel. At 3:00 pm pick up in center Amalfi and departure for a private Lemon Tour. including a Walk among the lemon groves a refreshing break with typical products such as lemonade and lemon pie, Visit to a local farm and the Visit to the Museum of rural culture, arts and crafs Overnight in Amalfi

Enjoy a full day of exploring the wonderful coastal resort of Amalfi on your own, taking in the city’s many sites,

plunging into the waters of the Gulf of Salerno, or sipping some of the locally-produced limoncello, or take a bus to visit the charming Ravello village overlooking the coast Return to your hotel for some well-deserved rest.

Do some last minute sightseeing in Amalfi after breakfast at your hotel. Then, around 3:00 in the afternoon,

depart for Pompeii and continue on to Rome, where the tour will come to an end. (Estimated arrival in Rome is

9:00 pm.) Optiona extra night in Rome or transfer to Fiumicino Rome Airport.
