Cameron Highlands  a hill resort with large tea plantations, farmlands,  lakes, waterfalls, wildlife, aborigines. It was discovered by British Geologist Sir William Cameron in 1885.  Tea Plantations are instrumental in drawing visitors to the highlands, and they work closely with Nature societies as in WWF in the conservation of our endangered animals. Sip tea perched on a high tea café to get a bird’s eye view of the lush carpet of greenery below. Some rare beautiful butterflies and stick insects can be seen at the Butterfly Farm. The walk down to the marketplace will see various vegetables, fruits, flowers grown in the Camerons. Due to the cool weather, the best selling dinner would be ‘HOT POT’ and you will be guided to reasonably priced restaurants.

Taman Negara is a 130 million years old tropical rainforest, home to endangered animals liken Tigers, Elephants, Tapirs, Sun Bears…..  14,000 flowering plants, 300 bird species…medicinal and poisonous plants, not forgetting the aphrodisiacs.  A colony of aborigines live deep in the jungle. Perhentian Island has 2 islands – Perhentian Besar and Perhentian Kechil. Earlier inhabited by fishermen but now tourism playing major role in its economic activities. The beach is palm ringed, white coral sands and turquois blue sea. Popular tourist activities scuba diving, snorkeling and other water sports.
