We will pick you from the port at 8:30 Am drive to Feima; this place is the best known for a festival of colors and flavors, art and culture in many ways. Proceed to Casa de Ferro (The Iron House), The only house in Mozambique made of iron and one of the oldest, a historical monument. You will have time to take pictures at this pace. Visit the Tunduru Botanical Gardens; enjoy the beautiful Natural Garden in the middle of Maputo city Stop at Maputo Shopping Center, where you will stroll around the market, you will have the chance to buy yourself a souvenir. Continue to CCBM – Centro Cultural Brasil-Mocambique, a wonderful place to enjoy the mix of cultures in a unique way. We will stop at a local restaurant to buy packed lunch. We will embark on a long drive to St Lucia in South Africa with various health breaks and photoshoots at noon. Upon arrival at St Lucia, you will check-in at AmaZulu lodge for overnight and dinner or a similar lodge
Upon pick up at the hotel in St Lucia at 5 am, you’ll board our 4*4 open game drive vehicle as we travel to the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve. Once at the Imfolozi Game Reserve Gate (Nylazi gate), your guide will offer you additional information and history regarding this splendid game reserve. Then we set out on a safari in search of the big 5. With rolling hills, fantastic scenery, your guide is sure to make this safari a memorable one. We travel to the southern section of the Imfolozi past Mpilla as this remains the best-suited area for witnessing Lions, Elephants, rhinos, and Cheetah, not to mention the Wild Dogs that frequent this part of the reserve. After the game drive, you will stop at Barraca Restaurant for lunch. After an eventful morning, we travel back to St Lucia, Isimangaliso. Wetlands Park ( A World Heritage Site since 1999) to board the Hippo & Croc Boat Safari in the afternoon; this 2-hour boat cruise gets us up close to the resident Hippos and Nile Crocodiles basking on the shores of the Estuary. The total length of the Estuary is 85km and one of the largest in Africa. It is estimated that more than 800 Hippos and 1200 Crocodiles reside in the area. The birdlife in the area is magnificent, with an amount of 450 species witnessed during the year. Hear the calls of African Fish Eagles, watch newly born Hippos display child-like tendencies. We drive back to the Richard Bay port and at around 5:30 pm.
