Guilin is the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and is considered to be the pearl of China’s thriving tourist industry on account of its stunning natural beauty and historic treasures.

The city is located on the western banks of the Li River and has some of the most spectacular karst scenery in the world. Guilin is also a short distance from many breathtaking scenic spots such as the Longji rice terraces, and the Reed Flute caves.

Chengdu is the capital of "Heavenly State", habitat of giant pandas and city of cotton-rose hibiscus.

Located in the west of Sichuan Basin and in the center of Chengdu Plain, Chengdu covers a total area of 12.3 thousand square kilometers with a population of over 11 million. Benefiting from Dujiangyan Irrigation Project which was constructed in 256 B.C., Sichuan Province is reputed as "Tian Fu Zhi Guo"

One of the world’s greatest archaeological finds, the Terracotta Warriors were discovered quite by chance in 1974 by a group of peasants who were digging a well on the outskirts of Xi’an. These sculptures of soldiers, chariots and horses were funerary statues made to accompany China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, to the afterlife. The soldiers all vary in rank, posture, height, uniform and facial features and it is believed that there are still thousands of warriors, and hundreds of horses and chariots, still buried in the three pits discovered so far.

Tiananmen Square is the largest public square in the world. It has long been a gathering place for locals and visitors alike. On the north side of the square is Tiananmen Gate (the Rostrum). It was from the balcony of the Rostrum on October 1, 1949 where Mao Zedong, chairman of the Communist Party, proclaimed the founding of the People's Republic of China.

The Forbidden City (Imperial Palace), directly behind the Rostrum, was home to 24 emperors beginning with its creation by Emperor Yongle in 1420 until the last Qing emperor, Puyi, left in 1924. The entire complex consists of 8,706 rooms in which an estimated 8,000 to 10,000 people lived including 3,000 eunuchs, as well as maids and concubines, all within 170 acres.
