Trekking & Culture, Bangkok & Chiang Tour Package (6 Nights / 7 Days)

Bangkok is a crazy city, filled with mystery, culture, adventures, wonderful people and even better food! Today you'll be experiencing it up close as you're taken out on a guided tour. You'll visit temples, markets, canals and experience how a city the size of Bangkok operates each day. This is an incredible place and we know you'll fall in love with it as much as we all do!

Following breakfast your driver will collect you from the hotel and transfer you to the airport for your 60-minute flight north to charming Chiang Mai. From here another driver will collect you and transfer you to your next hotel where you'll have the chance to check-in before you're taken out on a leisurely city tour.

Chiang Mai is a wonderful city, very laid-back with an easy coffee-shop culture. We'll show you around and introduce you to the northern Thai culture, and you can have plenty of time to recharge before you start your trekking adventure.

At 8:30am you'll be colleced from the hotel and head in to the jungle, stopping at a small local market to purcahse provisions. It's then another 30-minute drive to the beautiful Mork Fa waterfall where you can have a swim to freshen up.

After visiting the waterfall its a short drive later to a small restuarant where we'll stop for lunch. We will do the cooking for you and you can enjoy your first authentic northern Thai meal.

After lunch and another 45-60 minutes drive by car we will reach the drop-off and here the trekking part of your trek will begin as we enter the dense jungle. Your guide will lead the way and you will now be hiking through the amazing nature and experience all the different impressions along your way.

After about 3.5 hours of trekking awe'll be up to an altitude of about 1,400 meters above sea level where we'll spend the night in a simple wooden hut at the edge of the small village. Once at the village there will be time to take a shower and refresh as dinner is prepared for you.

Before it gets dark, you can visit the village and enjoy the evening scene of the surrounding mountains. Among other things you can see the top of Thailands 3rd highest mountain, Doi Chiang Dao (2,175 meters above sea level). Here you can sit on the deck in front of your hut near the small creek and enjoy the evening, listen to the sounds of the nightly jungle and enjoy a beer or two!

After breakfast we will be bidding farewell to the Karen village before we trek back through the lush nature for about 1 hour until we reach the starting point of the next adventure on your tour: the bamboo rafting.

Each bamboo raft can accommodate 6-8 persons and their luggage, which is placed on a rack in the middle of the boat to keep it dry. On the handmade bamboo raft you will have time to enjoy the amazing scenery as the raft floats down the creek. We will raft along the Mae Tang river for about 2 hours (depending on the season) towards a Shan village.

Once we reach the Shan village, you can freshen up before we have lunch and if there is time, you can wander around the small village and across a long wooden hanging bridge and bid farewell to the rain forest.

From the Shan village it is a 10 minute drive to the elephant camp where you have a chance to get in touch with the elephants - it is a truly unforgettable experience to get that close to such a huge animal. You'll have the chance to feed and exercise with them too!

After your meeting with the elephants we will leave the rain forest and drive back to Chiang Mai (approx. 1.5 hours). Arrival back in Chiang Mai will be around 5:00 PM.

We bid a sad farewell to Chiang Mai today as we transfer you back to the airport for your flight south, and back to where it all began.

Once back at your hotel you'll have chance to get checked-in and freshen up before you're transferred to one of the river piers where you'll board a beautiful boat for an unforgettable sunset dinner cruise. You'll get to see how Bangkok's skyling transforms once the sun sets and the lights come on.

You'l be returned to your hotel at around 9:30pm and the rest of the night is yours to do as you please.

Your driver will arrive to colect you from your hotel in plenty of time to have you back to the airport in time to check-in for your flight away.
