Itinerary

Stay in a luxurious Farm House on the hills of Eastern Algarve, surrounded by genuine little villages and beautiful landscapes almost untouched by the tourism. Enjoy a leisurely day at your picturesque house, tucked away among citrus trees and olive groves and relax from your journey.

Start the day in Salir, a little village in the middle of the hills of the Barrocal Argarvio.

Here you will visit a cheese dairy that is dedicated to the production of Algarve´s fresh goat cheese in a traditional way. You will have the opportunity to learn and participate in the whole process and make your own cheese. You can even try your hand at milking the goats!

And the visit wouldn´t be complete without a tasting of fresh goat cheese with honey.

Continue to Alte, another typical village, and taste some more local delicacies like traditional sweets and homemade liqueur…

After enjoying lunch in a traditional restaurant (not included), the day will continue with a visit to Tôr, yet another little typical village in the Algarve Hills.

Here we will visit a winery, and learn all about wine production and its history.

You will, of course, have the chance to taste Algarve wines while enjoying beautiful mountain views.

And we leave the Algarve, direction Beja, the capital city of Baixo (bai-sho) Alentejo (South Alentejo)

The morning will start with a visit to the largest olive grove in Portugal - Quinta do Marmelo - in Ferreira do Alentejo

We will learn how one of the most prestigious olive oils in Portugal and in the world is produced – Azeite Oliveira da Serra.

The Alentejo olive oil is known worldwide for its high quality and you can´t leave without tasting it…

And we head to Beja, the capital city of Baixo Alentejo. Here we will enjoy a traditional lunch (not included) with all the local delicacies. After we will allow you some free time to walk around the town historic centre.

The day will continue by learning how one of the most famous cheeses in Portugal is made during a visit to a traditional sheep's cheese factory. And we won´t leave before tasting it, of course!

And you can´t experience the real Alentejo without spending the night on a Wine Estate enjoying a rural traditional hotel where tradition and modernity blend in harmony.

Check in a luxury Wine Estate, where you can relax and enjoy the wonderful facilities that your accommodation has to offer and finish the evening with a typical “Alentejano” dinner (not included).

Because we like to save the best for last, we won´t leave this beautiful region of Portugal without tasting their world known awarded wines.

Accompanied by the professionals, we will tour the estate, visit the vineyards, learn the production techniques and taste some of the best wines produced in Alentejo
