Leaving town you will ride through the suburbs of Zurich to Kilchberg which is the hometown of the world-famous Swiss chocolate brand Lindt & Sprüngli. After a guided tour through the Chocolateria you will decorate your very own chocolate bar! With this souvenir in your lunch bag, continue through the rolling hills of the so-called “Hirzel”, from where you descend back to the shores of Lake Zurich to Rapperswil, 'the town of roses'. ascent/descent 600m/1968ft

This morning you take the train up to Einsiedeln (not included, allow CHF37 pp). If you are in the mood for some history, you can visit the famous monastery before starting your cycle tour. The ride takes you first through the swampy shores of Lake Sihlsee then the day's challenge is the ride up to the Ibergeregg Pass (at 1406m), from where you will have fantastic views of the surrounding alpine peaks and Lake Lucerne. Continue through the small village of Schwyz to the shores of Lake Lucerne in Brunnen. Ascent 670m/2198ft descent 1115m/3658ft *If you are not confident about cycling the pass we suggest renting an e-bike (available from age 16 only in Switzerland). Today you will take the boat to the other side of the lake, to start cycling in Beckenried. This part is easy and flat, you will ride past a small airfield and through the village of Stansstad. Switzerland offers a wide range of tour packages catering to different interests and preferences. Visitors can choose from scenic Alpine tours, exploring picturesque mountain villages and lakeside towns, to adventure-packed packages for skiing, snowboarding, and hiking enthusiasts. Cultural tours include visits to historical cities like Zurich, Geneva, and Lucerne, along with trips to renowned Swiss museums and cultural landmarks. In most cases, accommodation is included in Switzerland tour packages. Tour operators and travel agencies typically offer packages that bundle together various components, including transportation, accommodation, guided tours, and sometimes meals. The type of accommodation provided can vary depending on the package's price range and the preferences of the traveler. Options may range from budget-friendly hotels and hostels to luxury resorts and charming Swiss chalets, ensuring visitors have a comfortable stay while exploring the breathtaking landscapes and attractions that Switzerland has to offer.

The currency of Switzerland is the Swiss Franc, abbreviated as CHF (Confoederatio Helvetica Franc). It is the official currency used throughout the country, including its various regions and cantons. The Swiss Franc is denoted by the symbol "Fr." or "CHF" and is divided into 100 smaller units called Rappen in German, centimes in French, and centesimi in Italian. As of my last update in September 2021, the Swiss Franc has been a stable and widely recognized currency, commonly used in financial transactions and exchanges within Switzerland and also accepted by some neighboring countries.

The best time to visit Switzerland is during the summer months, from June to August. During this period, the weather is generally mild and pleasant, and the country's picturesque landscapes are in full bloom. Summer offers ample opportunities for outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, and exploring the scenic mountain regions. Additionally, many festivals and events take place during this time, providing a glimpse into Swiss culture and traditions. However, it's important to note that Switzerland's weather can be unpredictable, especially in the mountains, so it's advisable to pack layers and be prepared for occasional rain showers even during the summer season.

To book a Switzerland tour package, you can follow these steps. First, research reputable travel agencies or tour operators that offer packages to Switzerland. Compare their itineraries, inclusions, and prices. Next, select a package that aligns with your interests, budget, and preferred travel dates.
